What makes us the perfect place to work and grow as an essential Early Childhood Teaching Professional? What makes us unique as a school?

  • We believe early childhood educators are under appreciated, undervalued, and underpaid. We are striving to change this because we believe, along with studies and research, that children most formative years of life are from birth until seven years old. Therefore, early, trauma informed childhood education and care that is holistic and balanced is important work, for the health of our society.

  • We are nestled in the beautiful and safe countryside of San Marcos, providing an ideal canvas and background for teachers to instruct, teach and inspire curious wonder in their students.

  • Say goodbye to small concrete jungle playgrounds filled with plastics and rubber: We are proud to have one of the largest outdoor play spaces, in San Diego!

  • Our outdoor center is filled with life and greenery like roses, jasmine, olive trees, fruit trees, veggie patches, willow huts, palm trees. We have much more room to form outdoor classroom teaching environments and have access to clean well water for summer play. We have a nature preserve behind our school and its very common to see so many different forms of animal life like: Coyotes, eagles, owls, bunnies, groundhogs, foxes, lizards, frogs, wild butterflies, caterpillars, ladybugs and the many insects that visit our center.

  • Say goodbye to dirty, cramped and suffocating class rooms filled with cheap toys and bright overstimulating primary colors: We are proud to have curated beautiful classrooms that not only reflect the Reggio Philosophy, but also excellence which is a core value of ours at The Way. We believe children deserve to be surrounded by quality and therefore have invested in nice furniture from restoration hardware, pottery barn, community playthings. We also have purchased aged antiques and have gathered unique handmade Etsy products.

  • Opportunity to grow together: We are a newly licensed school with just a few years of service so this teaching opportunity is a unique opportunity to play a big part growing our brand, school, mission while leaving your mark and imprint.

  • Say goodbye to drama and staff politics: We value and embody as a staff culture excellence, authenticity, love, and teamwork following the Way of Jesus. We regularly meet as a staff for dinner, quarterly strategic planning, get lunch and we provide staff development days. We prioritize and value the holistic health of our, students, volunteers, staff and their families. When everyone is healthy, and happy everyone wins together.

  • Despite being a small and new school, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package. We have a generous first year vacation accrual for full time staff. We offer reduced and /or free tuition for our staff children. Bonus’ are based on performance and the success of our preschool each year. Our board of directors desires that you to feel valued, appreciated and treated fairly.
